Abstract
Dwelling sustainability plays a critical role in shaping urban development, offering a balanced approach that integrates environmental responsibility, social equity, and spatial dynamics. This article examines the intersection of social sustainability and human-scale design within urban sociology to highlight how sustainable dwellings contribute to vibrant, resilient communities. Through a comprehensive literature review and empirical research, the study reveals that sustainable housing fosters not only environmental stewardship but also social cohesion and urban vitality. Dwelling sustainability has emerged as a critical component of urban development, emphasizing ecological responsibility, social cohesion, and spatial adaptability. This article explores the intersection of sustainable housing practices and urban resilience, with a particular focus on human-scale design and social sustainability.
